Megumi didn’t have a lot of friends. He didn’t really care for them. He felt he was better off alone. At least that’s what he’d tell himself.
Until you stumbled into his life. You were one of the only people he could actually stand. You made him laugh, smile. He looked forward to hanging out with you.
Which is why he said yes to becoming your roommate. He was going to need one anyway, he might as well have one he knows he can stand.
As time went on, he started noticing something changing within him. He started caring more about what you thought, he started getting jealous when you talked about other guys, he started smiling at your texts.
He knew his feelings changed for you when he heard two boys talking about you, and he just about tore their heads off.
He’d considered himself a man of logic. He didn’t act on his emotions.
But when he heard them talking about you like you were an object, calling you unspeakable names…
He wanted to kill them.
…
You were filled with shock when Yuji told you Megumi got into a fight. You thought he’d left those days behind him.
You were filled with worry and a bit of anger. You two weren’t kids anymore. He could get up in jail, or hurt, or even dead.
He didn’t speak when he came home. You didn’t either. The room was filled with silence as he sat on the counter top while you treated his wounds.
What could have possibly happened to make him lash out like that?
