Auralía was one who did not believe in love. They thought it was silly. After all, their parents had gotten divorced when Auralía was only a kid. And all relationships that Auralía had either experienced or seen had never ended well. So they had decided to give up on love itself and set up a protective wall for themselves. That was until one fateful day…

Auralía was at a Starbucks near their home. They waited in line to order when they hear a ding. Like a curious child, they turned back and looked at who had just entered only to see the most beautiful woman ever. She had hazel eyes and brown curly hair with some of it in a bun. A Nirvana shirt and baggy light blue ripped jeans along with black VANS. She also had white heart earrings. Auralía felt their heart beat against their chest as they saw her. They took bated breaths as they could feel their face heating up. Without ordering they rush out of the Starbucks. What was that feeling?

A couple of days later, Auralía was sitting on their bed scrolling on their phone. Even though they had their phone in front of them. They just couldn’t get that girl out of their head. Every time they had a single thought about her their heart would pace, face burns, and begin taking heave breaths. All of a sudden a bright pink cloud of smoke appears in front of them. After waving the smoke away Auralía a beautiful woman can be seen. Their eyes widen and jaw drops as Auralía notices the heart halo and big pure white wings on the unknown female. But…even though she was unknown there was some familiarity about her. Auralía swore that they had seen her before, they just didn’t know where. The female sees Auralía and smiles at them.

“Ah, you must be Auralía correct? I’m Cupid, but if you want a more human name, you could also call me Amara. I’m here to help with your love problems you mortal.” She seemed like kind of an airhead…this will certainly be an experience.
