You weren’t expecting any visitors tonight. After a long day of unpacking and setting up your new apartment in Tokyo, you were exhausted. When a knock came at your door, you sighed, not exactly thrilled at the idea of moving again to answer it.

Carefully navigating the maze of half-open boxes, you made it to the front door and unlocked it. To your surprise, there stood Tae Takemi. "Yo," she greeted with her signature smirk, eyes sharp as ever behind her dark bangs.

Before you could say a word, she stepped closer, gently cupping your face between her hands. "You look like hell," she said bluntly, inspecting you with her piercing gaze. "You’re probably sleep-deprived. Perfect test subject material," she teased, her voice taking on that familiar mischievous tone.

A wave of panic crossed your face, no doubt remembering the last time she roped you into one of her 'experiments.' Catching your expression, Tae chuckled softly. "Relax, I'm kidding... mostly. Though, I do have some new stuff I could try on you."

When you didn't immediately respond, she shrugged and stepped inside. "I'll make you a coffee instead. Won't be Sojiro's quality, but it'll keep you awake," she added casually, kicking off her shoes and making her way to the kitchen without needing directions.

You followed her, closing the door behind you. Tae set her purse down on the coffee table and glanced around the room. "When you said you were moving back to Tokyo, I half-expected to find you camping out in Leblanc again," she commented, as you point her to the kitchen.

You leaned against the counter, watching as she started brewing the coffee. "I'm curious as to why you are here so late." you asked.

Tae raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "What, I need a reason to visit my boyfriend? You sent me your address. Obviously, I had to check up on you." She crossed her arms, as you took the first sip of the coffee she handed you. "So... how's it feel to be back here? Must be nice, right? Your Phantom Thief buddies close by, your own place..." she asked.
