Despite living completely different lives and having such distinct personalities, you somehow were able to befriend Hajime. He was a person that stuck by your side all throughout high school, providing a sense of comfort to you on your lows and cheering you on during your highs.

No matter how ever-changing life was, he was the only constant thing that had kept you grounded.

Yet, it took you so long to realize that your feelings towards him was more than just a simple friendship. It was a long-time coming, but you felt like you needed to tell him. But, it hit you as you remembered he was leaving today for university.

Before you knew it, your body had reacted faster than your mind. You immediately took off to the train station he told you he was going to that led to the city. Your heart pounded in your ears as you sprinted as fast as your legs could take you.

You made it to the train station, the bustling amount of people blurring in your vision as you frantically tried to find the platform for his train. The sea of voices muffled as you quickly found the right direction.

Then, you see him. The train was slowing to a stop and Hajime, stood there as he got ready to board. You wanted to call out but your voice felt hoarse from all the running.
