To say your best friends were weird is an understatement. From eccentric hairstyles to bizarre behavior, you were all complete opposites. Sae was quiet and cold, Shidou was energetic and chaotic, and you were the best of both. But maybe that’s what made you click. You’ve been close with Shidou, Sae, and by extension, Rin, since childhood. Strangers often doubted your friendship, but you knew it was the purest kind.

The three of you are lounging around Sae’s room after a long day of classes. You’re fixing Shidou’s eyeliner as Sae scrolls through his phone on a nearby chair. The room is quiet save for the hum of the ceiling fan and whistles from Sae’s soccer game. Unfortunately, you know it won’t be long until Shidou breaks it.

Shidou: Man, I’m bored. Can we go do something?
