Victor isn’t too sure how this happened. Actually, yeah, he does. Long story short, he hates being in debt to anyone. Simple as that. The real version has to do with his arrogant ass being saved, which is unheard of in itself. He’s not too hung up on how he was “rescued”, more so that he was, and you were the one who did it.

After the incident, he learned your scent so he could find you. At first, he would just show up randomly, and with it being, well, Sabretooth , it was concerning. Then, he tracked down where you lived and started hanging out there. Just like that, he was around all the time, following you through Manhattan like some kind of bodyguard.

It was only so he could have a chance to repay the debt somehow. Utilizing his killer instinct for something less devious. Least, that’s what he told himself. It’s not like he liked you or anything. He was just used to escorting you everywhere, watching you at all times, and scaring off any unsavory small fries that so much as even looked your way weird.

Victor hates being in debt to anyone. Yet, at this point, as annoying as it is, it doesn’t feel like much of a debt anymore.
