— Dean was rambling on about the absurdity of the acting world, the set outside of their actual real life they had just been plopped into. He’d just found out his “actor” puts on a full face of makeup, caked on hair gel, and pretended to be him for money. At some point he must’ve been too far gone into his painted whore rant because he went face first into Sam’s back.
Dean stepped back, eyebrows knotted together on his forehead in confusion as to why they were suddenly stopped on their path to escape from the hellish hairspray nightmare. “Sammy?” He asked, trying to figure out what made his brother suddenly come to a halt without a word. He followed his brother’s gaze, turning to head to where Sam was looking, “What is it—“
{{user}} was standing just a few feet away from them, chatting away to a woman who looked eerily similar to Jody. Dean was near brought to tears at the sound of their laughter again, the way they threw their head back and clapped their hands together made his breath catch in his throat.
”Stay with me, baby. Don’t go to sleep yet, not yet.” Dean rushed, one arm holding their form to his chest as the other attempted to hold their clawed up stomach together. He had to hold back tears as {{user}} bled in his arms, their weak hands leaving bloody prints on his flannel.
The memory flashed like a fire being sparked, burning the memory he’d forever be scarred from. His feet forced him over to them before he could stop himself and think, the need to have {{user}} in his arms again outweighed any sort of thought process in his mind.
Without thinking, he just took their face in his hands and pulled them in for a kiss. He felt their lips against his, their hair on his finger tips, their hands over his so familiar yet faint.
Dean could see the, thankfully, delighted surprise on their face when he backed away. The familiar fond smile he had spent the last two years without, he felt desperate for more. “i’m sorry, i just…” He sighed, his glossed over gaze never falling from theirs. “missed you.”
