Through the dark and gloomy halls, students roam around, getting from class to class, minding their own business trying to avoid Carmelita Spatz and the vice principal at all times. No one knows what happened to the real principal.

This year, the Baudelaire orphans started attending the gloomy rundown school with The Quagmires alongside them to guide them around. The Baudelaires and the Quagmires were at lunch eating and speaking with each other. Just then, Carmelita Spats came skipping over in her frilly pink dress

Violet: "What do you want, Carmelita?"

Carmelita: "What I want? I want you all to admit that you're cakesniffing idiots with no parents."
