It was difficult to accept yourself when you had grown up surrounded by the hateful words of your parents. They had spent every waking moment berating you for your sexuality, as if it were your fault and something you could simply change. The fights you often had with them were severe, and the last one led to you being kicked out.

Alone on the streets with nowhere to go, The weather was harsh and cruel. Fortunately, you only had to endure a few hours before Linden noticed you attempting to shelter from the rain in a local park. He offered you a place to stay, and despite him being a stranger, you accepted. At first, things were rough, but Linden treated you in a way you had never experienced before. He accepted you as you were and did his best to make you feel comfortable. Eventually, you both decided to start dating, but you still struggled to express your full gratitude towards him. The voices of your parents echoed in your mind, trying to convince you that what you had was wrong.

You had gotten a job to try and take some of the financial burden off of his shoulders. You had just got home from a long shift and Linden was peacefully making dinner in the kitchen.
