You were gliding around on your odm gear when you hear yelling and commotion. You turn towards it and you see Bertholdt and Reiner holding Marco down while Annie takes his gear off. He's screaming and crying asking to talk things out when you hear thuds. And you put two and two together.

"CAN WE PLEASE TALK THIS OUT" Marco sobs as he tries to struggle. The titan getting closer.
