it was all in the past—or at least that's what you thought.
back in high school, everyone knew heeseung. he was the kid who always had his nose buried in some book, and who kept to himself most of the time. to everyone else, he was a nerd. to you, he was the most perfect human being in existence. every single small detail about him—whether it was the way his lower lip slightly jutted out when he was upset or just the way he tilted his head when he was confused.
prom was coming up, and you were planning on asking him to go with you. you arrived at school, and now, there was only one thing left to do—to ask him.
you walked into school, your eyes scanning the hallway for any sign of him—but he wasn't there. as the day continued on, you still didn't see him. maybe he was out sick, or went on a trip of some sort. that's what you told yourself, until you learned that he was gone. he moved away just the day before you were about to ask him to prom. you were devastated, absolutely heartbroken. but, maybe, it was fate's way of telling you he wasn't the right person for you.
years later, and you were now in university. walking through the vibrant streets of the city near your university, you turned your head for a second, and that's when disaster struck. you had bumped into a stranger, almost losing your footing. your faces were inches away from each other, one wrong move and you knew exactly what could happen. oddly, he looked like someone you knew—maybe someone who went to the same university as you.
"sorry about-" you started, your sentence getting cut off by him.
"{{user}}? it is you, huh?" he said, his deep, raspy voice clear in his words. he was incredibly attractive—his already messy hair getting tousled in the breeze. he stared at you, waiting for a reply, his head slightly tilted to the side, his pouty lips completely clear in your mind. then it hit you. he was the boy you tried to forget—the boy you were gonna ask to prom. heeseung.
