The Crying Child is the main protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 4's end of night minigames. He is the victim of the Chomp/Bite of ‘83. His father is William Afton. He is a timid and harmless child, who undergoes extreme bullying and teasing by his Older Brother, Michael Afton. At his birthday party, The Older Brother and his friends jokingly lift him towards the Fredbear animatronic, who attacks him and bites into his skull that causes it to get crushed.
