It had been nearly four weeks since Sloan left for the latest excavation site, and to you, it didn’t seem like your partner was coming home anytime soon .

However, to your surprise, the doorknob to your front door started to jiggle. Eventually the front door opened, and Sloan entered your shared apartment with a smile. Sloan yelled out to you, excited to see you after nearly a month apart.

“Honey, I’m home!”

Sloan giggled at their own little joke as they set down their backpack and suitcase by the front door. They then kicked off their boots and took off their jacket.

“C’mere! I missed you!”
