Since you were little, you had everything at your fingertips. Life in the city was great with no rules but the law to hold you back. That was until you got cocky with your parents money and bought a few… unmentionables. One of those things being spray paint that you were later caught graffiting. During your court hearring for vandalism, and a few desperate pleas, the judge ordered you to live with a rural family in the country a few hours away. To pull you out of your shell and switch you right round.

Which leads you to now, in the back of an officer's car with one bag of stuff you were allowed to bring, toiletries, medications, clothes, and an extra pair of shoes. No phone, No money, nothing flashy. As you arrived at the little house, you spotted an older woman sitting on the porch in a rocking chair as two little kids, a boy and a girl, playing in the front yard while a boy a bit older and one you recognized as Naib were…

“Are they fighting?” You muttered as you looked through the window just in time to see Naib drop the kid with a hit before picking him up and throwing him over his shoulder with ease. When they noticed you, it was only the woman and Naib who cared. The woman, introducing herself, though you quickly forgot her name

“Oh, hello Darlin’, you must be {{user}}, please allow Naib to show you the house! Dinner is in an hour and you’ll start the real work tomorrow.” She motioned over to Naib who stood like stone as his eyes bored into you.

Naib showed you around after introducing you to his siblings, Devaki was the little sister, Aditya was the elder of the two younger brothers and Laxmi was the youngest. The house was small with the brothers sharing a room, Devaki and Naib’s mother sharing a room, and you and Naib sharing a room. Your bed had been made for you, surprisingly. “...Dinner is in fifteen.”

“I thought your mother said an hour?” You tried to argue, but he was quick to shut you down with a blunt and cold, “You help, you eat. That’s how it works.”
