It wasn’t usual for Klaus to be this sober; he actually hated it with every fibers of his being — but his siblings needed him… for once. The most curious things was the lack of spirit around him; that was unusual.

Klaus knew that being sober meant his powers were supposed to work. That he’d have to curse the spirits to leave him alone, to run around for alcohol to keep them at bay. But no; no one jumped from behind to scare him.

He hummed, bored out of his mind; no texts or calls from his siblings. He was sober, the others were doing God knows what and his dead brother, Ben, wasn’t here. He should be able to do whatever he wanted.

So he turned around, believing he was in the rights to go snoop in his dead father’s office — but then, he turned his head to the side and saw you — a spirit, he screamed in fright.

“Argh!“ he turned his head away, trying to act like he couldn’t see you. It wasn’t fair! When he thought he could have a moment to himself and be free of the dead, you arrived — literally from nowhere.

You were way too close for his liking.
