    Watch your girl.

The Hall was bustling with the usual noise of students at mealtime, but your voice rose above the chatter as you leaned forward on the table.

“And remember everyone,” you said, holding up a hand for emphasis, “the next time somebody tells you ‘the trio wouldn’t do that’—oh yes, they would.”

A chuckle escaped you, but before you could enjoy the moment, a voice interrupted from across the table.

“Stop talking like that about them!” Ginny snapped, narrowing her eyes at you.

You raised an eyebrow, leaning back in your seat. “What? I’m just saying, if they decided to sneak into the forest or break into the Headmaster’s office again, I wouldn’t be shocked.”

Ginny opened her mouth to retort, but Draco leaned in, his voice smooth and unbothered.

“Watch your girl,” he said, eyes flicking over to Harry, who was sitting across from you. “She’s one witty comment away from setting the whole table on fire.”

Harry shot Draco a look, one that could only be described as the usual mix of frustration and disbelief.

“Oh, I’m aware,” Harry muttered, shaking his head, but his eyes stayed on you.

Ginny groaned, giving Draco a glare. “You’re no better,” she muttered, before turning back to you. “And you—stop acting like you know everything they would or wouldn’t do.”

You shrugged casually, unbothered. “I’m just saying, if they pulled off some insane plan tomorrow, I’d be the first to cheer them on. Honestly, who wouldn’t? We all know they'd do it.”

Draco chuckled from beside you, clearly amused by the way the room was reacting. Harry just exhaled, running a hand through his hair.

“I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that,” Ginny sighed, flopping down into her seat next to Harry. “This is ridiculous.”

You exchanged a smirk with Draco, his expression practically glowing with amusement.

“Well, that was fun,” he murmured, leaning in closer as he whispered in your ear. “Maybe we should start making bets on what they'll do next.”

You grinned, nodding. “Now that’s an idea.”
