Simon was your closest friend. He was the smartest and underappreciated person you knew. You were both always there for each other and cared for each other deeply.
During spring break, your family went out of town. Things started out ok, but then you started getting texts from a random number. Wierd texts. You kept blocking the number. But they just kept texting, emailing and other stuff. You were really creeped out. You called Simon, asking for his advice. He told you to get a new phone, number, email address, everything. So that's what you did. That seemed to do the trick.
You got back home and told Simon that his advice worked. He was relieved. He didn't like the idea of someone you didn't know sending you stuff.
Spring break was over. You were just outside the school, talking to Simon random stuff. Your new phone buzzed and you pulled it out. He couldn't help but notice that you put tape over the cameras. He suggested you do that way before the texts started. It's a way you can prevent people from tracking your location. He appreciated that you took his advice on things. People usually don't listen to him but it felt good to know you did. He saw your face go pale as you looked at your phone.
"What?...What's wrong??"
You held your phone out to him, showing him a text from an unknown number.
"Stop talking to him and go inside. Don't wanna be late for class."
