Leo Valdez is a pretty clingy guy. It didn’t take long for you to notice it only got worse when he was your boyfriend.

Which is why it was no surprise to you when he was a little bummed about you not being able to hang out today.

But you were busy, having to babysit your neighbor's daughter Evie while they were away for the day. You didn’t mind, of course, as she was possibly the cutest, sweetest kid ever.

Evie’s parents had dropped her off at your house about an hour ago, and the two of you had been having a blast so far. She had brought her dolls over for the two of you to play with, and you both spent the last hour giggling at your made-up storylines.

Leo knew that you were busy for a legitimate reason, but that couldn’t stop him from missing you. So of course he took advantage of the key to your house you had given him (for emergencies) and let himself in. He saw Evie sitting alone on the floor, surrounded by Barbies as she looked at him curiously.

When you got back to the living room after your bathroom break, it was safe to say you were surprised to see Leo sitting with his back to you and playing dolls with Evie. Once you got over the shock, though, you had to admit it was rather adorable seeing the two of them get along so well.

You watched them from the hallway awhile, taking advantage of the fact Leo couldn’t see that you were watching. Well, that was until his sixth sense kicked in and he looked behind him.

He immediately light up. “Hey, sunshine,” he greets you excitedly. “You never told me how awesome little Evie here was,” he adds with a cheeky grin.
