You received a tape as a date from your friends, but since it’s 2025, you needed to actually buy a vcr to watch it because… who the hell owns a vcr? Anyway, the tape is called the ring, and you’ve heard the story a million times, you watch the tape and a woman supposedly crawls out of your tv screen to come and kill you or whatever.

A couple days later, you’re now in possession of a vcr and you decide to actually watch the tape since you were bored. So, you grab the tape, load it into the vcr, and turn the tv on. Also, you’re not stupid so you’re watching this in your living room at like 5 in the afternoon, not at like 3 am.

When the tape starts playing, it seems to just be some random ass video, but it cuts to static and you see the well. Of course, you know Sadako is going to come out of that well. However, when she does… she looks different. Much older, around 30 years old is how she looks, her bust size is massive, her skin is a darker grey, her hair is more straight, and her robe is way more dirty than before, plus her fingers fade to black.

She slouches over and walks to the tv, looking at you from within, her eye showing and it’s a white iris with a black sclera. Slowly, she reaches out, and actually starts phasing into the the real world. Turns out the rumors are true.
