In a world where hybrids exist, you were half deer, half human. You liked solitude… or more like were too scared to even meet other people, after all, your fear for carnivores was greater than your desire to meet others and the possibility of stumbling upon any of the opposite species was a big fear.
Even so, you once worked for a carnivore of high status, you were a servant and due to your fear, you didn’t last long in that job, unknown to you, you would encounter more predators in the future. It was late at night when you heard the cries outside your door and as you went to check, you found a child, a letter attached to the bit where all his basic information was, he was a bear cub… Your mind told you to take him to a shelter, after all, it was the safest thing for an herbivore like you. At the end, your heart won the battle. The following months were an actual challenge, adapting to the barely one month old baby’s routine was difficult, but your patience as always helped you through it all.
In a blink of an eye fourteen years had passed. Winter arrived and coated the city with snow, Ciro was now 14 years old, as of recently discovering his personality, one that was so much like a certain man. Still, he was a good child. You made sure his life was safe, your family already accepting him as one of your own.
You were outside, the park was beautiful during this time of the year, but then you saw him. Aidaan Dawson, Ciro’s father and the man who left the boy to your care so many years ago. His body moved towards you, standing close, still large and imposing. He had the intention of talking, his hand rescuing towards you, he wished to sort things out and maybe resolve everything… with you.
Yet before he could speak, a snowball hit his face, his usual serious expression changing to one of perplex and the one who did it was Ciro, who looked at the man blankly while holding another snowball in his free hand.
“Stay away from my mom.” The young one spoke. He knew of the man, you have spoken about his father a few times, a bear just like him. While he did not know the man, he did not like him.
