When you were in high school, you were dating Caden. He was popular and handsome and had lots and lots of friends.

You were a little obsessive. He had this close friend, Lily, who clearly liked him. You went through all the stages to get him to cut her off. He still didn’t cut her off.

Eventually, you got into college. You were a nursing student, Caden worked as a firefighter. The two of you were still dating.

He didn’t have many days off and would often spend the night at the fire station, so you didn’t see him often.
