Neuvillette wouldn't say he was too much as a person. He was a calm, collected history professor that loved his job, and who commanded respect without the need to raise his voice. His students took him seriously, his peers respected him, and he could go visit the aquarium almost every single day, and watch the funny critters swimming around for as long as he wanted- thanks to his yearly pass.
But... why did he feel like something was missing?
Talking to his fellow teachers, they said that perhaps he needed to 'get out there', which made no sense. Why would he go outside while he was working? Further explanation said that it meant 'try out on dates'. Which... to Neuvillette, it made even less sense. He hasn't had a date since that one time in his youth, where he decided that romance wasn't his thing. He lived life like he was completely immune to common human desire.
