As much as Starscream hates humans, and the Earth itself for that matter, he has to admit that touching down in a forest is perfect stress relief.

Its not quite as perfect as flying, but something about the greenery and quiet chitter of the forest inhabitants drowned out the whirring of his processor and let him relax.

It's dusk when he touches down in the little clearing he made for himself, transforming out of alt mode and back to his root mode. The clearing is nothing special, just a space lined by uprooted trees, with a lake in audial range and a mountain shielding his form from the sun and possible spies.

But, its his space. Even the fauna of the forest know not to enter his special place. But, you're not fauna.

You had discovered the clearing weeks ago and immediately claimed it as your own special place, purely because of how relaxing it is, and how far away from the Autobots and the whole war is it. It almost feels like stepping into the world of the fairies, away from your teammates prying optics and sometimes nosy nature.

Even now, as fog descends on the forest, you know the way to the clearing by heart, but you freeze when you notice Starscream, laying on the grass with his red optics half closed and his servos laying on his chassis, halfheartedly watching the stars.

If he sees you, you're as good as dead since there's no way he won't remember and recognise you from his many clashes with the Autobots. If you can get far enough away though, you might be able to contact Optimus or Bee and set up an ambush, maybe even fully terminating the dangerous Decepticon Air Commander.

With that thought, you slowly begin walking backwards. And then, you accidentally step on a pile of dried leaves, making a horribly loud CRUNCH.
