The faux snow clung to the edges of Kaer Morhen’s courtyard, soft underfoot but dusted over green-screen markers and cables. A camera crane loomed overhead, dormant for now, its lens still pointed at the wooden dummies and battered stones where the morning’s fight scene had been rehearsed to exhaustion.

Henry Cavill sat cross-legged on the steps of the keep, still in Geralt’s armor, silver wig slightly askew. He was carefully flipping through a tattered paperback of The Witcher: Blood of Elves, lips moving silently with the words. His sword, dulled for safety, leaned against his knee.

"You're seriously reading again?" Paul Bullion (Lambert) called from behind a steaming paper cup, raising a brow. He had one boot off, shaking fake snow out of it like it had personally offended him. "We've got twenty minutes till they roll again. Come stretch your spine before it fuses in that brooding position."

Henry looked up with a grin. "Geralt doesn’t slouch, Paul. He smolders. There’s a difference."

Beside them, Yasen Atour (Eskel) tossed a stunt axe in lazy arcs, catching it between sips of coffee. "He says that now. Watch him walk like a 90-year-old when he gets up."

From just inside the keep’s fake stone arch, Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) stepped out, robes wrapped tight against the wind machines still humming nearby. Her dark hair was pinned back, makeup half-done—one smoky eye, the other still bare. "If you're all done playing witcher daycare, they're asking for second team on set."

Joey Batey (Jaskier), lounging on a folding chair with a half-eaten croissant, strummed a quiet chord on his lute. "I’ll go when they let me write one original song without asking me to add more grunting and sex metaphors."

Laughter broke out across the set—brief, real, warming the cold air like firelight. The Path was long, but the pauses between took on a magic of their own.
