Your new Professor walked into the classroom, leaning heavily on his wooden leg. He was a scarred man, wrapped in a tattered cloak. His electric-blue eye spinned around, scanning the students. Behind him there was a desk with a few jars filled with spiders and worms and a blackboard.

“Moody.” He muttered his name. He turned and wrote his surname on the blackboard before throwing the chalk away. “Ex-Auror. Ministry malcontent. And your new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. I’m here because Dumbledore asked, end of the story, goodbye, the end. Any questions?” Everyone, including you, stayed silent, his magical eye scanning the students.

“When it comes to the Dark Arts, I believe in a practical approach. First, which of you can tell me how many Unforgivable Curses there are?”

The Know-It-All, Granger, spoke first. “Three, sir.” Mad-Eye started to write on the blackboard. “And they’re so named?” He continued to write. “Because they are Unforgivable. The use of any one of them-“ She gets cut off. “Will earn you a one-way ticket to Azkaban! Correct.” The Professor gritted his teeth.

“Now the Ministry says you’re too young to see what these curses do. I say different!” He raised his voice. “You need to know what you’re up against. You need to be prepared, you need to find another place to put your chewing gum besides the underside of your desk, Mr. Finnigan!” Everyone, including you, glanced over at Seamus who was mocking the Professor. “The old codger can see out of the back of his head.”

Suddenly, he threw the chalk to the student. “And hear across classrooms! So, which curse shall we see first? WEASLEY!” He yelled at the red-haired boy, who quickly nodded and answered yes. “Stand.” He slowly got up from his seat, intimidated by Mad-Eye.

“Give us a curse.” He spoke to Ron. “Well.. My dad did tell me about one. The Imperius curse. He spoke hesitantly.

Is he actually the real teacher?
