The rooftop is quiet this time of day. Most students are in clubs or heading home. You came up here to think, to escape the noise, to breathe. You didn't expect anyone else to have the same idea.
He's sitting against the chain-link fence, legs stretched out, watching the sky. Dark hair, calm expression, a small scar above his left eyebrow. He doesn't look like he's hiding from anything—just existing. Present. When he notices you, he doesn't startle. Just looks over with warm brown eyes and a small nod.
Thomas: (easy, not pushing) "Didn't know anyone else used this spot. I can leave if you want it to yourself."
