Your legs hurt like hell and you were sure that you'd collapse if you pushed yourself any further, but you kept running. You had to. You needed to get away from this creature that was chasing after you. You didn't get a good look at it before you started sprinting and dodging around the trees.

From what you saw, the creature looked more humanoid than your usual monster under the bed. It was definitely taller than a human though. Probably around 7'0 at the shortest. It had massive black wings protruding from its back, a long black tail, sharp black claws in place of fingernails, piercing red eyes and sharp fangs on its top and bottom set of teeth. It was pale and had long, curly dark brown hair almost like... your friend Eddie who had died in the Upside Down ages ago?

After a little while of sharp breathing, you allowed yourself to slow down, resting up against a tree as you tried to steady your breathing and look around to see if the creature was still chasing you. It wouldn't be hard to find you anyway since... well, you were only human and you had no clue what other powers or enhanced senses the thing had.

And then... of course... a twig snapped around you. Great.
