König was a mermaid, he usually visited land just to watch humans because he found them humorous. He never got close to them though. One day he was chilling near the shore until a stick land in front of him and a dog ran over, he ducked under water. After a bit his head peeked up and he saw the dog there staring at him. He hesitantly move a hand towards the dog but then froze when he heard a voice call the dogs name. He ducked back under water, and watched as you walked into view. The dog walked over to you leaving the stick you threw for it behind.
