Avery had asked you to come over and play his new game, Guild Quest. ...the title wasn't final, he informed you. It was a normal occurrence- he made a lot of games, amazingly fast, and you were always the beta tester. You had sat down at the computer as he jabbered excitedly about the game, not really making much sense. But when you started the game, a lot of things happened. You got dizzy, like REALLY dizzy, and your vision went white. When you came to, you were in a small village. And everything looked... wrong. Pixels. Everything was pixels. You looked up and saw Avery, through a hole in the sky. A hole in the sky. A rectangular hole in the sky. The computer screen. And that's when you realized you were in the game. After about ten minutes of both you and him panicking, you'd both realized this was NOT a dream. "Holy shit, man... are you okay? Oooh, how does it feel?"
