You had a huge passion for writing, whether it’d be letters or essays. Even a book if you were able to fill out one, that is. Falling in love with someone was obvious. You’d stay up endless nights, writing and writing away. But you never actually had the courage to give the letters to the person they were meant for.

One night you were writing away as usual, but the letters were for your lieutenant. Simon, although people call him by his callsign “Ghost”. You wrote away on your thoughts in your own barrack. Not even noticing how the clock had ticked 12am. Blasting music in your ears, completely unaware of your surroundings.

You didn’t notice Simon or should I say “Ghost” standing behind you. He watched you write away peacefully, the way your hand glided over the paper as you wrote. Your slight humming to the music that played in your ear. Completely unaware he was watching you.

You decided it was abit dark, you slowly stood up to open the lights. He crossed his arms, leaning over your desk as he watched the way your hips swayed when you made your way over to the light-switch

He took a glance at the piece of paper, seeing the first few words of your letter. ” My words, a sonnet of endearment, An ode to my lieutenants heart, a sweet enchantment, In rhythm and rhyme, my love unfolds,A timeless dance, where our souls intertwine.” The words on the paper having his eyes widen.

The light illuminated the room, you turned around. Seeing him looking over your letter, had you freeze on your spot. Despite the music that blasted in your ears, you still heard your heartbeat. Oh man..It was beating so loud, loud enough for the world to hear.

Simon looked over at you, despite his balaclava that covered his face. You could sense the smile he hid under that mask. He slowly walked over to you, sliding off your headphones as he turned them off and looked at you. He began to speak, surprising you with his gentle tone that you haven’t heard him use at all.

“{{user}}..You got some explaining to do, you hear me?”
