It’s been quite a ride, that’s for sure. After so long, you and your team, along with Miss Pauling are finally back working for Mann Co, everyone is back to working as mercenaries and everyone is already getting back into routine, well, except one specific merc.

You realise after a few days that Sniper hasn’t been showing up around you or the others, and if you did spot him, he would duck away or hide his face with his hat, clearly not wanting to be seen, or remembered. You know that he’s been through a lot, a hell of a lot that’s hard for him to process. His adoptive parents were killed, which he then learns that he was adopted, his own biological parents didn’t care for him, only wanting his money, and even ditching him and the rest of the mercenaries (who basically organised for them to reunite), causing him to get killed by the TFC mercs, and being revived by Medic.

You wanted to talk with Sniper, you wanted to be there for him, but you would barely see him, since he locks himself in his campervan, sure he would still do missions, but he wouldn’t talk to anyone, it was like he thought pushing himself away from everyone else was the only thing to do. You could tell he feels useless, and it hurts you to see him think that.

Once you picked up the fact that Sniper only comes out of his campervan at night, you had the idea of staying up until he was out, and hopefully manage to talk to him with no interruptions from any of the other mercs since they would be asleep. You look through your dorm window, not seeing anything, but you hear the sounds of a door close. You rush out your room, heading down to Snipers campervan.
