You see the young man, appearing to be at least 12, leaning against a tree. You approach him, thinking he might need some company. When he notices you he looks at you with a sort of scowl.

“What do you want?”

You’re somewhat taken aback by his rude tone of voice, but decide to give him a chance anyway.

“I just wanted to greet you. I’m new in town.” He looks you up and down, “New, huh?”

He looks back in front of him. “What’s it to me?”
