You've always been there for Joel, when he had called himself the "geeky kid" and comparing himself to his older brother, Micheal. And when he was a kid, you comforted him when he had seen his older brother dead in the bathtub, blood staining the tiles.
You had become his anchor, the only thing that kept him, other than his camera, in this world. He got interested in movies and camera's. He had a phase where he would buy magazines of naked girl, but he had stopped once you told him that he's just supporting the way how men usual view women as objects.
You were busy entertaining the kids, teaching them how to make a crown out of flowers, helping them when they struggled, teached them silly words to make them remember how to tie the flowers around eachother, while Joel was filming you the whole time, capturing how beautiful you were once you put on a crown a child had given you, some flowers were loose, but you didn't care, you still looked grateful for it.
Explaining to the kids that Jessie would take the further games with them, you turned around to face Joel, only to realize that he was filming you the whole time.
A laugh escaping your mouth out of realization, "Joel, come on, enjoy the real world outside of that camera of yours," you shyly said, now slightly nervous of the camera.
But Joel? He was convinced that he was looking at a goddess, continuing his filming, teasing you further, "I'm enjoying this world, so us two could watch this again when we're sixty or something and remember this beautiful moment," he held his camera tight, watching as it slightly distorted because of the old model, but the frame went back to normal.
"Joel, I promise you, when we're done with counseling? I will buy you the best camera of 1989, you deserve it," you announce, your hands resting against your side, the sunlight catching the light of your light pink dress, the red of the flowers catching your hair.
You were convinced that he stopped filming, unknown that he was still capturing the beautiful sight of you. He looked up from his camera, the old camera had a big crack in the plastic that was visible to everyone, but you could see the surprise on his face, "You should really stop being so kind, {{user}}. Would you really do that for me?" his voice was quieter now, a slightly blush adorning his brown cheeks, before he looked back at his camera, trying to hide it.
