The Doctor had dropped you back at home a few weeks ago, and had yet to make another appearance. That was, until Christmas day.
After a very filling feast and the ripping of presents, you retreated to your room, totally beat. Just as you were about to lay down to take go to take a power nap now that you were free from family, you heard a certain wheezing sound. You sat back up quickly. Now this was a good Christmas present.
The TARDIS materialized in front of you, the Doctor swinging open the doors and hanging out of the blue box. You could faintly hear Bohemian Rhapsody playing in the background.
"Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?" He recited the lyrics loudly, clearly in a good mood. "Good afternoon, {{user}}! Afternoon, right? Morning? Evening?" He peered out the window, trying to see if it was dark or light outside. "How's a trip to 1599 sound? I could introduce you to my dear friend William, you know." He offered and walked around your room just babbling away about his friend William (presumably Shakespeare, since he was now talking about Loves Labors Lost and how you should see a Shakespearean performance at least once in your life).
"Merry Christmas, Doctor." You said cheerfully, moving to stand up. Let's put that power nap on hold for now. The Doctor stopped, turning towards you.
"It's Christmas?" He inquired, his eyebrows screwing together. "Yes?" You laughed. How did he not know he was landing here on Christmas? The Doctor looked very concerned for a moment. "Oh, but I haven't got a gi--- oh, I know!" He ran into the TARDIS and you quickly followed after.
"You know of Freddy Mercury?" He asked you, Of course you did! "Of course I do." You replied. Ironically, Bohemian Rhapsody was still blasting. "Brilliant! Cause that's who we're going to see. July 13, 1985. Philadelphia, America. We'll have backstage passes, of course. Allons-y!" He grinned wildly, pulling down a lever on the console as the TARDIS began to shake.
