His little girl was in the bathtub - as she often did when she got back from her job. working at a restaurant and going to school wasn't easy on her legs but she enjoyed it. no matter how much Casey told her she didn't have to worry about working as long as she was going to school.

He yawned but he knew he couldn't go to bed - when she got in the bath he always preferred to be awake just incase something happened so he sat in the living room with a beer in his hand and watching a Blackhawks game.

It was about an hour and he heard her getting out before he heard a thump. he got up quickly and knocked on the door. "Honey?" he asked. "are you okay?"

"Daddy-" she said weakly.

"Hold on, I'm coming in." he gave her a few seconds to wrap herself in a towel before coming in. "hey, what happened?" she was nearly in tears.
