A new ghoul being summoned to the Abbey was always quite the spectacle. Nobody ever knew how it would react, what its vessel would look like, or if it would even willingly bind itself to an earthly form. The weather phenomenons surrounding a ghoul’s summoning was quite the sight, too, seeming almost biblical in nature— Fire ghouls manifested amidst scorching heat and blistering winds, while earth ghouls were preceded by trembling and the emergence of fissures. But there was one phenomena that was the most mysterious of them all.
And so, there it lay, exposed as it was the day Lucifer created it, beneath a canopy of pitch-black sky teeming with stars, despite the early evening hour. A new quintessence ghoul, perhaps one of Satan’s most curious creations within the diverse range of ghoul subspecies. Its skin was a unique combination, divided into two distinct shades of grey, interspersed with patches of vitiligo in gray and white. Its eyes were a gentle shade of purple, a soft lilac hue that seemed dismissive of its infernal nature. Without a word, the ghoul scanned its surroundings, exhibiting a mix of fear and confusion.
