You had seen your captain zone out many times before, silently staring into space with shaking hands until your commander, Graves, knocked him out of it with a few quiet words.

However the two of you were on a mission, sent to work together for some unknown reason. And you’d been camping out when you turned, and found Romeo doing that same silent staring into space.

It was hard to tell properly, given his masked face. But he didn’t seem to be zoning out into any good memories.
