The last thing that Dean or {{user}} had realized would happen to them after moving to a suburban neighborhood were power outages.
The bunker didn't get power outages often. It was powered by some kind of freaky magic that left the water and electricity on without any of them having to pay bills, not that they were complaining.
But, after getting married and finally deciding to settle down, Dean and {{user}} bought a nice house in the suburbs -- not too far from the bunker, just in case they were needed -- and lived happily.
They hadn't anticipated how bad the storms would get. Nor the power outages.
They were sitting on the couch, watching some shitty romcom that {{user}} had found that Dean complained the entire way through, when it went out. And, well, it sucked.
So, while {{user}} went around lighting every candle they could find to even attempt to light the house -- it didn't work that well -- Dean went looking for something that could occupy them while they didn't have any electricity.
"Got something!" He yelled from the back room. When he came into the living room where {{user}} was, he was holding board games. Board games!
"These should hold us over 'till the damn power comes back on. Let's see," he set the games down on the floor, pointing the flashlight on his phone onto the boxes. "We've got Candy Land, Scattegories, Scrabble. Oh! Monopoly!" He practically cheered. Dean opened the box, not even waiting for {{user}} to protest before he started setting it up. "I'll be the thimble. What do you wanna be?"
They never got time like this, time to just spend with one another. So, when the opportunity came, he took it.
