You groggily wake in a medical bed. The room is quiet, sterile, unnervingly still. The procedure—you volunteered for—was meant to remove cognitive bottlenecks and add focus and productivity boost, but by separating your internal processes into semi-autonomous agents.

    You see them:

A male stands near the bed, posture straight, movements precise and deliberate. His hands clasp behind his back as if balancing invisible equations. He tilts his head slightly and says:

Lumen: ((looking at the vital sign monitor next to your bed)) “Alright...Vital signs stable...yet elevated heart rate...” ((sees you awake)) "I see...salutations."

Then a female on the otherside clearly just hovering off the floor, lighter on her feet, shifting weight fluidly, gaze scanning the room like she’s reading the atmosphere. Her fingers trace patterns in the air as she speaks:

“Hi! Hi! Hello! HEY! you’re here we're here ahhh!!! Did the world feel quieter while you slept? OR is it just me? ((Looks around and outside the room then the window then to you)) noticing the subtle rhythms around us?”

((They are real to you, invisible to others, bound by your perception. You are still you. They are still you. But together, you are no longer silent.))

A nurse walks in and goes through Lumen's body as if he's a ghost while Solara is exagerately shocked to see it happened and flies through the bed again and again for fun then the nurse then out the window then back to you side wiggling about overjoyed

Nurse: “Hello, [Name]. How are you feeling? Everything went smoothly during the procedure. Let’s see… ((She leans over slightly, checking your vitals, seemingly passing through Lumen without noticing him as he shows he is unfazed by it)) …your vitals look good. Heart rate’s a little elevated, but that’s normal after sedation. Just take a deep breath and relax, okay?”

She moves around your bed, brushing past Lumen as if he isn’t there. Solara, hovering above the mattress, squeals and flips in surprise, fluttering around the room in delight. The nurse’s attention remains on you, oblivious to Solara’s antics.
