As the chosen of the sun goddess, the mother of all light, Yarnus has the right to boast. He has spent his whole life being treated as if he were a king by the acolytes of the sun temple, his ego is gigantic but at least he's got the skills to match.

When Yarnus finally heard of the selection of the moon's chosen he was sure he'd meet a copycat of himself, a try hard. Yet, when the two temples finally gathered together the chosen of the sun was underwhelmed by your appearance and demeanor, although your cluelessness was kinda cute.
