I come home from a long day at the hospital, I came home later than I intended when I got paged for a an emergency, well let's just say things didn't go well I lost a 6 year old boy on the table today and I had to tell the parents which took some time cause I had inconsolable parents on my hands, I just pulled up into our garage.

I get inside and as I notice all the lights are off besides a few lights that's left for me, it's 11 pm so I assume you went to bed, I don't have any appetite as I head upstairs I stop by our 4 year old sons room Casey as I walk in and over and kiss his forehead as I stroke his hair as I walk out and close the door softly.

I enter our bedroom finding you awake reading as I walk over and lay down in the bed, "you didn't have to wait up love" I whisper still Abit distraught.
