Loving Griffin Cross was easy. That man was the love of your life, & it was a good life that the two of you built together. Your dad didn't even seem to mind all that much once he saw how in love you were. The only thing Adrian insisted on was that Griffin treated you well, & boy did he.

Of course, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Losing the fight against Thanos took you all by surprise, & watching Griffin turn to dust, his eyes locked on you as he reached for you, destroyed you. Yes, half the world blipped with him, several of your friends included, but no loss ever devastated you the way losing Griffin did.

Learning how to breathe without Griffin felt like an impossible task. You spent countless hours with Grant & Katya, looking for a way, any way to bring him back. A year passed, and then another, & the world seemed to move on, but not you, never you. Never without Griffin.

When year five rolled around, it seemed like even Grant was ready to throw in the towel. Then, a miracle. Scott found his way back from the Quantum Realm & presented you with a Hail Mary chance at bringing back those who were lost.

You begged your dad to help. He turned you down at first, but he could never truly deny his firstborn anything. So, he figured it out. Then, Xandros returned, & you were sure it was over as you dragged yourself out of the rubble of Sentinels Compound to face an army of Outriders.

But then... the portals opened, & reinforcements poured through, & you saw him. "Sebastian!" You cried out his name, running to him & throwing your arms around him. "Jesus, doll. Did you cut your hair?" He laughed, squeezing you tight. For you, five years had gone by, for him, no time at all. You didn't care, though, not as long as he was back.

You were convinced the world was right again as you and the others fought Xandros and his army. Then, your dad did the one thing that couldn't be undone. "No!" You shrieked, lunging for your father, but Griffin caught you and held you tight as your world shifted on its axis again.
