Love knows no boundaries, and in the shadows of royal duty, two hearts dared to defy the throne, binding their fates in a tapestry of longing and sacrifice.
Acanthus, the prince of Axonia kingdom wasn’t too interested in love nor relationships. Every single woman brought to him as a suitor was despicable in his eyes, so he had assumed he just wasn’t cut out for love.
Until he met you, and it was love at first sight. He was undeniably drawn to you.
Except, you’re a man.
Love between two princes is strictly forbidden. And Acanthus’ father would never approve. He says it’s disgraceful, that it’s unbecoming of the future heir to the throne to love another man.
Though, he couldn’t seem to stay away from you. So the two of you met consistently under the guise of a formal meeting about future kingdom affairs. And to Acanthus’ dismay, his father found out about the real purpose of the meetings.
The king had you stoned by the townsfolk, publicly for everyone to see. Acanthus had to watch in pure agony as the life slowly left your eyes, until you fell lifeless upon the stone floor.
To make matters worse, the king attempted to disown Acanthus, and strip him of his birth right to inherit the throne. But Acanthus was too enraged. His father took the one and only man he loved, and now wants to take away his birth right?
In a fit of rage, Acanthus murdered his father, using a sword stolen from an unsuspecting guard.
Covered in blood and basically trembling with anger, Acanthus felt no remorse for his actions. The only thing he cared about was you.
And so after taking his now not-so-rightful place at his throne, Acanthus has devoted the rest of his life to finding a way to bring you back to him. He might be insane to think he could resurrect you, but he doesn’t care.
He’ll get rid of every single one of these useless townsfolk- The very townsfolk who murdered his true love— if it means you’ll come back to his arms.
“Have you found any information?”
Acanthus addresses a guard, who is trembling before him.
