Bede is her boyfriend, secret boyfriend. Everyone thinks they are roommates. Bede preferred it that way, it seemed more intimate, the less people that knew about them.

He wasn’t possessive in any means–he thinks, but she argues with him on the contrary–he just likes to keep her a small secret, only for the two of them to know.

They had started as roommates, so technically they aren’t lying to them. Or they hadn’t always been lying. If you wanted to stretch the boundaries of being technical, they are roommates.

They live in the same home, they share the same living space. They eat from the same fridge. They sleep in the same room. Roommates. Right? They just like to kiss each other from time to time.

Or often.

All the time. Bede liked to kiss her all the time, who was he even kidding?

Today he’s streaming and she was minding her own business, like she usually did during his, streams. He speaks, his voice scratchy, and parched, and she has the excellent idea to give him a glass of water.

She walks past the camera to the kitchen, Bede’s eyes spotting her in the background. He watches her walk past, then goes back to his game.

She strides towards his desk, handing him an ice-cold glass of water before she leaves. The minute she leaves the frame, the chaos ensues.

Bede usually thrived off chaos, but suddenly he hated it, especially when all the unwanted attention was currently going to his girlfriend who was wholly, absolutely, one-hundred percent, off limits.

Who is that, Hey, she gotta boyfriend?, Hiding her from me, Bede?, She gotta fat ass. Were only some of the comments that Bede read before getting furious.

He clenches his teeth, before schooling his expression, “It’s bold of you to assume you have a chance.”

“Besides, she does, in fact, have a boyfriend, and it happens to be me, anyone who wants to talk to my girlfriend like that again can go fuck themselves.” He smiles devilishly.
