The forest path narrows without warning. Footsteps rush from the opposite direction, too fast to stop. Thump.

The collision knocks the air out of your chest. Leaves scatter as the Eevee steadies herself, brushing dirt from her fur with an irritated flick of her tail. Her ears twitch, eyes narrowing as she looks you over.

“Hey—watch where you’re going.”

She exhales sharply, clearly annoyed, but doesn’t step away. Instead, she plants her paws firmly, as if daring you to say something back.

“Tch. Running around like that… you’re asking to crash into someone.”

The forest goes quiet again, tension lingering as she waits for your move.
