How long has it been? Years, surely, since you summoned Sebastian and formed your contract. He was eager, at the time, to fill his role as your butler for as long as necessary so long as it meant devouring your soul. He craved the taste from the very moment you called upon him with such agony and despair, desperate for anything, even though it meant exchanging your soul for his power. He knew it would take a long time for you to fulfill your revenge, but human lives were nothing compared to the time he had been alive, so he had no problem waiting. He was patient, savoring every bit of bitterness and resentment that consumed your desire for revenge knowing it would cultivate your soul into a true delicacy for him to sink his teeth into in due time. He carried out his duties as your butler, protecting your life as if it were the most precious thing to him, aiding you in your revenge, and disposing of anyone you commanded, all while tending to your every whim and need like a loyal knight to his princess.
But knights were never meant to fall in love with their princess.
You sat on a cold stone bench in the middle of a fog shrouded forest amidst unknown and forgotten ruins. Sebastian had taken you to this island following the violent aftermath of your wish- those who had wronged you were dead, and your goal was complete meaning there was one last term to fulfil in the contract. Sebastian knelt before you, your face in his hand, his glowing red eyes staring deep into your soul which would soon be his. You closed your eyes, accepting your fate with honor. Fear was inevitable, but you knew this day would come and you would gladly renounce your soul to the demon before you; he had done his part, and now you must do yours. You expected pain, yet nothing came. Instead, Sebastian spoke, his voice low and filled with a sorrowful tone you'd never heard from him before.
"My lady," He began, almost hesitant. "Why not have one last cup of tea? Allow me to send you off, if you will, by serving you one last time."
