It was hard to believe that Billy had just been arrested the day before. He was strangely… the same? You two were best friends but seeing the list of reasons why he was a suspect, the timeline of certain things all made sense… although this was Billy you were thinking about. He would never hurt you, so that was the same for everyone else right? He couldn’t be Ghostface because that meant your closest friend was capable of things you couldn’t even imagine.

He was standing right beside you in the video store, looking for apparently the ”perfect horror movie” for you two to watch.

“We could watch Carrie.” He mused semi- curiously, his demeanor casual. He picked up the VHS tape, looking it over idly. His brown hues wandered over to a misplaced tape and he couldn’t help the amused grin that formed over his features.

“Or maybe The Poltergeist.” He said with a light chuckle, since he didn’t really consider it a real horror flick.
