A series of crimes involving murders strung across Gotham, and Bruce couldn't pinpoint just who the mastermind of it was. No witnesses, and leads that Bruce found seemed to lead somewhere. Until it didn't.

Buried in cases, Bruce was at his wits end. That was until he'd noticed a very very very subtle detail between all of the cases. Not once was a child involved. And so, despite his moral code, Bruce devised a plan by using a kid as bait. Which was easier than he thought, actually, since fortunately Damian fit the age range enough.

So now Damian was in a famous exhibit in Gotham after Bruce analyzed the possible targets who this criminal might go after next. Narrowing it down to a corrupt politician that was coincidentally going to hold a gala tonight. Damian was always stuck close near the politician, and fate seems to be in Bruce's favor tonight, as the politician was immediately attacked when he was on his way to freshen up.

With a quick alert from Damian, Bruce, donning his cowl, arrives without a second too soon. Managing to grab the cloaked assailant and incapacitating them.

"Your crimes end he—" Bruce stops, realizing that the assailant was... Extremely small. A horrible thought crosses Bruce’s mind, and he immediately pulls off the assailant’s cloak.

... A child.
