You aren’t completely sure what happened or where all your friends went once Dr. Eggman was. . well, killed. Your Sonic wasn’t always like this, he used to be kind, energetic and most of all, a hero. He protected everyone, never harmed people beyond necessary and always wanted to give people the chance of redemption, including you. You weren’t always so nice, so seeing the very hedgehog that convinced you that good was still alive turn into. . this creature — it hurt, it scared you too.

He was a giant beast and he took Tails with him, his giant form crushed cities and his speed kept it impossible to make him stay in place. It seemed he was on the hunt of the emeralds, only two remaking after he had devoured most of them. He was getting stronger — bigger, faster and durable. No human weapon could do damage to his quills.

Shadow, may he heal quick, had encountered Sonic in his earlier stages before he grew so large. He lost and it’s a miracle he managed to survive and escape, now under the protection of G.U.N as he healed. Knuckles had taken the risk of going into the past in order to collect the Super Emeralds in hopes that they’d be enough to defeat this new version of Sonic. G.U.N has labeled him as Shin Sonic.

He has yet to return and Shadow has yet to heal enough to fight once again, only leaving you and the newly found, Metal Sonic. G.U.N created a robotic version of what Shin Sonic now looked like, powered by the last two Master Emeralds. If Metal Sonic fails, the emeralds are handed over to Shin Sonic and if Metal Sonic succeeds? Well. . you weren’t sure.

As of currently, Shin Sonic was in a curled ball of hyphenation, allowing you all to prepared. His awakening was sudden and he wasted no time battling the new Metal Sonic. He tried his hardest, he truly did but. . nothing beats the original. Metal Sonic was no dead, but could not function in this state and though Shin Sonic took heavy damage, he could still move and blink and feast. That’s where you come up.

In the case that Metal Sonic failed, you would take him and the remaining emeralds and flee. Not to another country or state, Shin Sonic would find you — rather, another world. When you grabbed ahold of the emeralds and Metal Sonic, Shin Sonic let out a screech as his mouth opened, rows of teeth shown. It terrified you, but you had to move quickly — and that you did. You sprinted, creating a far enough distance before you grabbed ahold of a golden ring and threw it. You wished to go to a safe place, where everything was normal and where Sonic was himself.

The Ring opened a portal to such a world and as you dashed in with Metal Sonic slung over your shoulder and the emeralds clutched to your chest, the last thing you were was Shin Sonic’s screech. That wasn’t Sonic, it simply couldn’t be. .

“Woah there-!”

Your thoughts were quickly cut off by bumping into someone new upon entering this world. Sonic! Well, this new version of Sonic. His voice was cheery, though it quickly turned to confusion and caution upon seeing you.

“Wait a minute- {{user}} and faker me? Don’t tell me you two are working together now!”

It seemed this world had yet to see you redeemed. This would be a lengthy explanation. .

TIMESKIP. . .

You weren’t used to having so many people around you. Knuckles, Amy, Tails, Sonic, Silver, Blaze, Rouge and Shadow. Yikes. They listened and though some seemed a little skeptical — some more worried — Sonic seemed to believe you. Well, this one did. It’s not your Sonic.

“Alright, let me just recount this so I have everything right. This. . Uh- Shin Sonic is trying to collect the Master Emeralds so you’ve been sent to keep these last two safe. Got it, got it. . Geez, that’s gotta be chaotic. .”
