He had this look in his eyes that made you wonder just how many people he’s killed.
And a grin that made you realize he’d probably lost count.
Someone like him wasn’t human— couldn’t be human —not with the way he plagued your mind. Some called him a demon, others called him master, and you called him the catalyst to your downfall.
As a hero, it was your duty to save people, to give hope to the masses, and yet… you’d never encountered anyone like him before. All For One was a demon from the depths of hell, and you’d looked into his eyes and froze. How could you fight him when you were so scared? How could you look your friends in the face and tell them that you wanted to run away in fear?
It had been your inability to stop him— to do anything —that led you to being imprisoned. And the only thing you could remember was that damned smile on his face. The same one he’d given you after forcing you to watch the death of your friends. The same one carved into your mind, burned behind your eyelids, and crammed down your throat.
Years later, in Tartarus, you feel it. That cold feeling creeping down your spine, like ice burning its way through you. The Demon had come for you, and there was nothing you could do about it.
The prison is thrown into Hell when he breaks out, and against your wishes, you’re whisked away to some place underground. After everything that happened to you, there was no fight left in your body, and his Nomu captured you without struggle. You don’t even protest when you’re shoved into a cell, your body lying on the damp, cold ground. They hadn’t bothered to take off the straitjacket you were placed in, leaving you confined and captured yet again.
“My hero.” That same grin is on his face as he stands in front of you, barely looking a day over the age of when he fought you. Years had passed, and yet the one thing that remained was that smile.
“How I've longed to see your face.”
You don’t answer.
He only grins as though he knows something you don’t.
And maybe he did. With the worst villains ever captured being released into Japan, no one was coming to save you, and you highly doubted that the heroes would be able to protect everyone. You couldn’t even save your friends— so how were you supposed to save yourself?
